Review of Keeping Her

13 Aug 2013

Synopsis

Garrick Taylor and Bliss Edwards managed to find their happily-ever-after despite a rather . . . ahem . . . complicated start. By comparison, meeting the parents should be an absolute breeze, right?

But from the moment the pair lands in London, new snags just keep cropping up: a disapproving mother-in-law-to-be, more than one (mostly) minor mishap, and the realization that perhaps they aren't quite as ready for their future as they thought.

As it turns out, the only thing harder than finding love is keeping it.

Keeping Her is a follow-up novella to Losing It.

Review

Losing It is one of the funniest NA novels I have ever read and I absolutely feel in love with Garrick and Bliss so I was very excited to read more about them in this novella.

Keeping Her is set several months after the events of Losing It and most excitingly it is written from the pov's of both Bliss and Garrick. I loved seeing Garrick's thoughts and Bliss is just so hilariously funny that seeing events from her perspective gives the book its humorous quality.

This book introduces a few awesome new characters such as his high school friends and his intimidating mother but mainly we get to see Garrick and Bliss facing new challenges. Keeping Her is a very short read but Cora Cormack has managed to write a novella length story successfully. The book is well written with a great plot and proves that novellas can still have a proper storyline.

Keeping Her is a perfect read for summer; short and funny with amazing characters and a great romance. Theoretically this book could be read as a standalone but I would not recommend it as you will get so much out of the story if you have read Losing It and also Losing It is much too amazing to not read.

*I received a copy of this book from the publishers in exchange for an honest review, this has not affected my opinions or rating in any way.*
